The Dumas Community held a variety of Halloween events to provide safe options for the children Halloween week.
The events included a truck or treats held by the Abundant Life Worship Center, First Assembly of God of Dumas, First Baptist Church of Dumas, The Mitchellville S.H.I.P, and the First United Methodist Church hosted a drive through trick or treat.
A Girls World, LLC and the Street Mentors of Dumas (S.M.O.D) held a Fall Harvest event Saturday October 30, 2021. The event included games like Buggy rides, a pony ride, bozo cone toss game, Musical chairs, a cake walk, bingo, a photo booth by Joe Santana, nail painting by Elissie Railey owner of Elistic Nails, 2 legged race, duck fishing, don’t drop your eyeball marshmallow toss and a sack race. The children later went from vehicle to vehicle in the parking lot for a trunk or treat and later visited the Oasis of Dumas Assisted living for more candy.
The Winners of the Fall Harvest Costume Contest were Landon Harris as the Scream mask, Kevin Galloway and Jayden Bland as Pennywise the Clown, Paxton Camp as a pirate and Genesis Everett as JoJo Siwa.
The event included a concession stand and several vendors. The vendors included Marquetta Canada, of A Girl’s World, LLC, Jaleesa joiner - Juicy Appeal, LLC, Sashea White- Secret Obessions, Valarie Dennis - Vals Trendy, Treasures, Britney Russell of Just Shoe Fly & Accessories, Kimberly Calvin of Villieside Snow cones, A Different Leg by Eugene Cooper serving turkey legs, Hillary’s Boutique bt Hillary Jordan, April Slater/Mundy- Shanel’s Things, Angelo of Nu Sense, and Atiya Webb - Qmani Gifts
