We are in the middle of what I call the Big Bake. I liken it to being in an oven . . .

Students who earned a 3 or higher on an Advanced Placement (AP) Exam demonstrated college-level knowledge in that subject. AP Exam scores range from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest possible score, indicating exceptional mastery of the course content. A score of 3 is considered "qualified" by the College Board, and many colleges and universities award college credit, advanced placement, or both for qualifying AP scores, depending on their individual policies.
“Earning a qualifying score reflects students' hard work, academic achievement, and readiness for rigorous college-level coursework. We are extremely proud of these Dumas High School students. It is indeed a great day to be a Bobcat,” The District said.

USACE lifts small craft advisory for Arkansas River

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is lifting the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Small craft advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second.
While flows are receding, USACE officials urge boaters to always exercise caution when on the river.

We are in the middle of what I call the Big Bake. I liken it to being in an oven for a long period of time. I would argue that this is the roughest weather period for Mississippians.
Day and night, high and low, the average Mississippi temperature for the year is 68 degrees. Just perfect. But we have some extremes in there.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:44 am, the United States Coast Guard contacted the Desha County Sheriff's Office of deceased body that was floating in the Mississippi River on the Desha County side of the river.
