The RPIC Arkansas Delta Rhythm and Bayous Placemaking Initiative continued their discussion on the utilized and underutilized assets in the Dumas community at the Dumas Public Library Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Jaylin Sprout and Michelle Perez, of Winrock International, collected information and asked questions of community members present. Sprout continued collecting information on identified and unidentified assets in the areas of Natural, Social/Human, Cultural, Financial and Built Capital. The room discussed how an asset was or wasn't used well; how the it played an continued role in Dumas goals and does the capital play a role in Dumas's goals.
The Next meeting will be held Thursday, November 9 at 11:30 pm. The Housing Taskforce will also be meeting November 9, 2023 at the Community Center. The event will host round table discussion. Everyone is invited to attend. (Clarion Photo by Linna Jones)
