Desha County Sheriff Department makes early morning arrest after chase

On July 5, 2023, at approximately 2 am this morning Deputy Wayna Green attempted to make a traffic stop on a passenger car in McGehee. After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, who was identified as Derrick Devine of McGehee, and smelling the odor of intoxicants, Devine decided to flee the scene.

The Dumas Chamber of Commerce Corn Supper will be held at the Dumas Community Center July 14, 2023. The doors will open at 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased from a Chamber of Commerce Board Member or at the Dumas Chamber of Commerce.

Delta Memorial Hospital hosts Health Fair

The Delta Health Services Medical Center hosted a community health fair Friday June 30 from 10 a.m to 3p.m. The fair offered a variety of tables that gave health advice, free blood sugar testing, and free knowledge on how to treat your body. The fair also had an inflatable brain that offered tips on how to prevent brain-related health issues.
