On Saturday, September 23rd, at 11:15 p.m., Deputy Wayna Green was patrolling the Watson area, when he noticed a vehicle illegally parked on Yancopin Road. As Deputy Green approached the vehicle, he recognized the driver, as Don Love of Watson. Deputy Green knew Love to be a convicted felon, and after he observed a rifle inside the truck, He asked Love to step out. Love was acting very nervously, and sweating profusely. As Love exited the vehicle, Deputy Green noticed a jar containing Marijuana in the front seat. As Deputy Green went to retrieve the jar, Love reached in the window, opened the jar, and attempted to dump the drugs in the back of the truck. Love then tried to flee from Deputy Green, however, the taser was deployed on Love, and he was taken into custody. Upon a further examination was of the jar, Deputy Green also discovered Methamphetamine. Love was arrested and transported to the Dumas Jail, where he was booked for Possession of both a schedule 6 and Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, fleeing, and Tampering With Evidence.
