Monday 1/23/2023- At approximately 7:00 p.m. after several public service calls in regard to a white male walking on S.H. 138 carrying two garbage bags, Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe made contact with 46 year old Johnny Reed, who was found to be wanted by probation/parole. After a brief foot pursuit, Deputy Bledsoe took Reed into custody and transport him to the Dumas Jail. Reed was released a short time later. After leaving the jail, a shoplifting was reported at a nearby Liquor Store. Still being in the area Deputy Bledsoe located the fleeing suspect, and found him to be Johnny Reed. Deputy Bledsoe returned Reed to the Dumas Jail, where he was held.
On Friday, Jan. 27th at approximately 8:00 p.m. Deputy Reshawn Bledsoe made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 65 south of Dumas. While conducting a probable cause search of the vehicle, Deputy Bledsoe located 9.6 lbs of vacuumed sealed Marijuana. The two occupants, both of Vicksburg, MS, was transported to the Dumas Jail, and charged with Possession of Marijuana with purpose to deliver. The case is being worked in conjunction with the Drug Task Force, and is under further investigation
