SHOPLIFTING $1,000 OR LESS
Dumas Police Department Sgt. Crystal Martin was dispatched to the Mad Butcher Saturday, August 20, 2022 at approximately 12:50 pm in reference to Shoplifting.
Upon Sgt. Martin's arrival, she mad contact with the manager Danny Bennett. Mr. Bennett stated Lewis Harris (63 of Dumas) came into the store and took two packages of meat and tucked them in his pants. Mr. Harris then left the store without paying. Mr. Harris was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
The incident was caught on video.
Sgt. Martin advised Mr. Bennett a report will be on file and how to obtain an affidavit.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT – FIGHTING OR VIOLENT, THREATENING, OR TUMULTUOUS BEHAVIOR
Dumas Police Department Officer Raydon Findley and Officer Carl Mcree were notified by CID Eric Armstrong Sunday, August 21, 2022 at approximately 2:30 am, that there was an incident going on over by the housing authority.
Upon arrival, Officer Findley noticed several vehicles blocking the road as well as several people in a crowd.
As Officers Findley and Mcree pulled up with their lights on, everyone got in their vehicles and left in a hurry.
