According to a Dumas Police Department Facebook post, On Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at approximately 10:19am Dumas Police Department was notified of a shooting in the East Choctaw/N. Rankin Street area.
Nearby schools were advised to go into lockdown.
Officers searched and secured the schools’ immediate area. Officers located evidence on N. Rankin Street.
At the moment, the Dumas PD has two subjects in custody on unrelated charges.
Dumas Police Department has launched a criminal investigation.
