NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Notice is hereby given that the Cypress Creek Drainage District has filed a petition in the Circuit Court of Desha County for the Circuit Court to levy the following Drainage District Tax upon lands in Desha County, Lincoln County and Chicot County for the year 2023, payable in 2024;
"Upon all acreage lands, except as hereinafter mentioned, railways
and rights of way lying within the District, a flat tax of seventy five cents (.75) per acre for maintenance and operation purposes;
And upon town lots lying within the District a flat tax of One and
50/100 Dollars ($1.50) per lot for maintenance and operation purposes."
Any property owner seeking to resist the requested levy may appear in the Desha County Courthouse Annex, Arkansas City, Arkansas, on Monday the 25th day of September 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and urge his or her objections thereto.
