Public Meeting for Parks Grant will be held July 29 at Dumas Community Center
The Dumas Parks Committee and Community Development Committee will hold a public meeting to gather ideas and suggestions for the upcoming parks grants awarded by the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. The public meeting will be held Monday, July 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Dumas Community Center. The public is encouraged to attend.

Desha County Museum to celebrate 45th Anniversary
The Desha County Museum will be celebrating its 45th Anniversary Saturday. July 27, 2024 from 11 am -2 pm
The event will feature Nate Turner of the Stone Poney Band providing live music from 11:30 am -12:30 pm. Other activities include games, a kid's corner, tractor display and a super quiz about the museum and Desha County for adults. They will be serving food, birthday cake, and homemade ice cream.

The Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Dumas will be celebrating their pastor and wife P.C. Holley and Caroline Holley 32nd year anniversary at the Watson District Headquarters in Mitchellville Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024 at 2:30 pm.
The guest speaker will be Pastor Isom Cross of the Union Baptist Church of Dumas. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

Gospel Program to be held at Watson District Headquarters
A gospel program will be held at the Watson District Headquarters Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024 at 6 pm.
The out of town guest will include The Sons of Christ of Bastrop, LA. Joe and the Disciples, of Little Rock, AR, along with other local groups.
Sponsors by Sister Cordella Banyard and Minister Bruce Johnson. The event will be held on behalf of Dumas Singing Center. Pastor P.C. Holley is Union President.
