A RESOLUTION DECLARING A VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF DESHA COUNTY JUDGE, STATE OF ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Richard Tindall, who presently holds the office of the County Judge in Desha County, State of Arkansas, passed away on July 11, 2025; and
WHEREAS, it is· the obligation of the Quorum Court of the County of Desha, State of Arkansas, to declare that a vacancy has occurred in the office of the County Judge in the County of Desha, State of Arkansas, as authorized by Amendment 55 of the Constitution of the State of Arkansas and Arkansas Code Annotated § 14-14-1309.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF DESHA, ST A TE OF ARKANSAS THAT A VACANCY IS DECLARED TO EXIST IN THE OFFICE OF COUNTY JUDGE.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF DESHA, STATE OF ARKANSAS THAT THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF DESHA, ST ATE OF ARKANSAS WILL MEET AT THE DESHA COUNTY COURTHOUSE ON JULY 17, 2025, AT 1:30 P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF DECLARING THE VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF COUNTY JUDGE AND FOR THE FILLING OF SAID VACANCY.
FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF DESHA, STATE OF ARKANSAS THAT THIS RESOLUTION SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON ITS PASSAGE AND APPROVAL.

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE APPOINTMENT OF A SUCCESSOR TO FILL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF DESHA COUNTY JUDGE.
WHEREAS, on_____, 2025, the Quorum Court of Desha County, Arkansas, adopted a Resolution declaring that a vacancy existed in the office of County Judge of Desha County, Arkansas, due to the death of Richard Tindall.
WHEREAS, the Quorum Court is authorized by Amendment 55 of the Constitution of the State of Arkansas and Arkansas Code Annotated§ 14-14-1309, to fill the vacancy by appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF DESHA COUNTY, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That________ is hereby appointed to fill the position of Desha County Judge and that said person is hereby authorized to serve in said capacity until the expiration of the term on December 31, 2026.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
