The Dumas Chamber of Commerce's “Neon Christmas” parade will held Monday, December 2, 2024 at 6 pm.
The parade will begin from Gill Gym on College toward Central Elementary, turn onto Waterman and proceed
down Main Street. The parade will turn right again onto Choctaw Street and disband at the corner of College and Choctaw (at Central Elementary).
The overall grand prizes include $100 for the first place divisions in float, vehicle, ATV/SXS, Walking and Other. Christmas Tree Lighting to be held at the Delta Memorial Hospital following the parade. Visitors can have cookies and hot chocolate with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The lighting is sponsored by the Delta Memorial Auxiliary to benefit Auxiliary Scholarships.
For entry rules scan the pick up a paper copy of the entry form from the Chamber of Commerce. Vehicles and float line-up will begin at 5 pm on the gravel lot behind Gill Gym at the Dumas Middle School. All Vehicles will enter from East Bowles Street. There will be no entry from Pickens Street. Walking entries will line up on the side of Gill Gym (DMS) on the grassy area and will be directed into the parade route. ATV's, SxS's, antique cars, and etc will have to offload off trailers at another location and enter the parking lot from East Bowles Street.
