Dumas Police Department is hosting a haunted night out Saturday October 28th! We have some fun carnival games with prizes,a fun hayride, face painting, and even a chance to pie a cop. We will also be having a costume contest (winners will get a prize) that anyone can compete in! Please contact the police department to sign up for the contest. This event will be held across from the police department by the First Baptist Church. Bring your kids and have some fun with us! Tickets will be sold $2 a piece or $15 for 10 tickets. Each game requires certain amount of tickets. All proceeds will go to the Shop with a Cop!!!

Halloween is coming up! We will host a Halloween Bash directly on Halloween night from 6-8 pm. We will fill the gap, open our doors, and welcome everybody for candy, games, and crafts at the library. It will be a stop-n-go event. Drop in whenever it fits best into your family's schedule. Boo y'all!

"I smell children..." The Dumas Library is hosting an Hocus Pocus Escape Room on Saturday, October 28, from 3-6:30 PM, for those ages 10+. Can you stop the Sanderson sisters from taking the town's children? Join us for a Hocus Pocus inspired escape room, where you test your skills to solve the riddles and puzzles before time runs out. Beginning at 3 PM, groups will have 30 minutes to put out the black flame candle. This escape room requires groups of 4-6 participants; if you don't have enough folks to form a group on your own, we'll group you with others so you can attempt the escape room. Due to time restraints, only 5-6 groups will be able to compete, so show up early for your spot! Questions? Call 870-382-5763. **PLEASE NOTE: The room will be decorated for Halloween, and it will include flickering candles and other blinking items. If you have certain medical conditions that are triggered by this, you may consider not participating.**
