DUMAS, Ark. — The Dumas Bobcats Alumni Association invites alumni, former players, students, families and community members to celebrate the dedication of the Dumas High School basketball floor in honor of Coach Van Holt on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Doors open at 11 a.m., with giveaways before the ceremony.
Held as part of Dumas Bobcats Alumni Homecoming Weekend, October 9–10, the dedication will recognize Coach Holt’s lasting impact on Bobcat athletics and the generations of students and players whose lives he helped shape. Naming the floor in his honor will provide a lasting tribute to his leadership, commitment and contributions to the Dumas community.
The celebration will bring together former teammates, classmates and supporters to honor Coach Holt and share in a proud moment for Dumas High School. The floor dedication will serve as a connection between the school’s athletic history and the students who will carry the Bobcat tradition forward.
During the ceremony, the association will also present the Alumni Spirit Stick to the class demonstrating the strongest representation and Bobcat spirit throughout Homecoming Weekend. All alumni classes are encouraged to participate, wear their purple and gold, and show their class pride.
The Dumas Bobcats Alumni Association welcomes the Dumas Clarion to cover this special occasion and help share the celebration with the wider community.
