Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stimson of Dumas announce the engagement of their daughter Hannah Jo Stimson to Austin Bryan Van Horn of Little Rock.
The bride to be is the granddaughter of Charles and Onnie Rector of Dumas and the late Robert and Kathryn Stimson.
The prospective groom is the son of Jeffrey and Cindy Van Horn of Jonesboro. He is the grandson of Donna and Bryan Quiggle of Wichita, Kansas, and Sharon and Larry Van Horn of Wichita and Linda and Orless O’Neal also of Wichita.
The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of Dumas High School and 2016 graduate of Mississippi State where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She received a Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2020. She will begin work in July as an optometric physician with Jacksonville Vision Development Center in Jacksonville.
The prospective groom is a 2011 graduate of Valley View High in Jonesboro and earned a bachelors of mechanical engineering in 2015 and Masters in 2016 from the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He works in Little Rock as a mechanical engineer.
The couple plan to marry June 27, 2020, at Walnut Lake Country Club golf course at 6:30 with Rev. Buddy Ratcliff officiating. Friends and family are invited.
