Jadacee Glover, Rev. Lawrence and Jennifer Glover of Tillar, Arkansas the was chosen to be a recipient of the Jordan Smith Undergraduate Fellowship Award. Glover, is a Senior at the University of Arkansas at Jonesboro, is a 2020 Honor’s Graduate of McGehee High School.
The purpose of the fellowship program is to advance the leadership skills and knowledge base of undergraduate students so that they may in turn use what they’ve learned at the Annual Conference on the first year experience to enhance and encourage first-year student development on their respective campuses. There are only 5 people selected nationwide to travel to Los Angeles, California to obtain more knowledge on how to enhance the First Year Experience for Students.
The students selected are those who are leaving impacts on first year students as they begin their college journeys. This past semester she was placed on the Dean’s List which is awarded to students with a GPA of 3.6 to 3.99 all while serving as President of Student Diversity and Recruitment, active in her sorority, and training as a New Student Orientation leader. Glover was recently selected as her last year at A-State comes to a close as President of her sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho, Vice President over NPHC, and Senior Advisor for Student Diversity and Recruitment.
