To the Clarion:
2020 has proven to be quite a challenge. We, in the Delta, are accustomed to challenges. We meet them often and with great heart. This challenge, the Covid-19 Pandemic, presented new approaches to our everyday lives.
Dumas has been supporting the Desha County Salvation Army since 2014. This year with all the pandemic issues, we face the need to limit our bell-ringing schedule.
Our dedicated bell-ringers did not let us down. Our business partners, who are always willing for ringers in front of their stores. Merchant & Farmers Bank and Connect Bank have been supporting us from the start. The Clarion helping us with schedules of the red kettles. Hometown support has never been more important.
Jason Martin is the Desha County SA director and runs the SA store in McGehee.
Our 2020 Red Kettle six days of ringing totaled $5,168! All donations stay in Desha County.
Thank you to all who are helping Dumas and Desha County through your contributions and service to our Salvation Army.
God Bless you,
Dumas Coordinators Susan Walt and Linda Walt
