Desha County Museum to host annual Christmas Open House
Desha County Museum will be hosting their annual Christmas Open House Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 2-4 pm. The Three Rivers Mennonite Church Youth Choir will be the guest entertainment. The museum will be giving away door prizes and refreshments will be available. The event will be held at 264 US-165, Dumas, AR.

Saint Peter's Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Cherry Street Dumas, will host its Annual Men's Day Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 10:45 pm. The theme will be “Christian Men: Living by Faith in the Son of God” Galatians 2:20. The messenger will be Reverend Michael Darcy, Associate Minister of Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church of Reed, AR. Reverend Larry Alexander is pastor.

“Ballet Magnificant to be held December 3 at UAM
Seark Concert, Commercial Bank & Trust & Union Bank & Trust present this joyous Christmas event on Sunday, Dec. 3rd at 5:00 PM at the UAM Fine Arts Center in Monticello. Ballet Magnificat! has been described as the “Top Christian Ballet Troupe in the World!” They usually perform in megachurches. But Monticello is on the way home from one of their sweeps of the southern United States.
This is their second visit to the UAM stage as they also performed a splendid show last April. Overheard from audience members at that event, “Creative and beautiful." "Very skilled artistS, like Olympic athletes!” And "You’ll never see these guys dancing 'Swan Lake.’"
The troupe is 23 dancers strong. They have agreed to stay over an extra day and perform THREE FREE SHOWS for 1,200 southeast Arkansas Middle Schoolers on Monday morning. SEARK Concert President, Susan Akin, said, “When would our students ever have a chance to see a production of this quality and substance?
