Jadacee La’Tierra Glover, daughter of Lawrence and Jennifer Glover, of Tillar and former 2020 Honor Grad-uate of McGehee High School has been recognized as a receipient of The Strong-Turner 3.0 & Freshman Scholar Award at A-State.
This Scholar’s Achieve-ment Program is for outstanding African Amer-ican students who have achieved a 3.0 or high academic year. It was formed in 1982 and named after
Walter B. Strong and Frederick C. Turner, the first African American graduates of Arkansas State University. The chapter was formed by a group of African American alumni as a mechanism to address concerns and interests.
The Strong-Turner Alu-mni chapter of the A-State Alumni Association has a primary goal of furthering the active participation of African Amer-ican alumni in the activities of Arkansas State University that directly impact African American
students, alumni, faculty/staff, and the community. Membership has steadily increased over the years as the scope and programs have also broadened.
Jadacee is currently a senior majoring in Exercise Science. She plans to further her education by obtaining her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and become a Pediatric Physical Therapist.
