The Dumas Police Department held a Cookies with Mother's Day Event at the Dumas Municipal building May 6, 2022.
The DPD invited all mothers to come by and share a cookie with first Responders. The DPD, Dumas EMS and Dumas Volunteer Fire Departments pulled out their vehicles for children to look at the vehicles.
Several families came by to look at the first responder vehicles, test the sirens, and enjoy refreshments.
Raven McJoy, DPD head dispatcher organized the event. Each department provided something for the children.
The EMS showed the kids their heart rate and handed out activity books and crayons.
The DVFD handed out fire hats, activity books and pencils. The DPD provided refreshments, candy and gift bags. The DPD will be hosting a Father's Day event “Donuts with Dad.”
