Bobcat Pride PTSO will have a Meet and Greet January 16 from 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm at the Dumas Community Center. Their goal is to try and help provide various resources to parents, teachers, students, and community to help bring back that village and sense of unity once to empower individuals as well as families and by finding ways to help unify the school, community, and family structures of Dumas, and advocate for the best educational, social, and cultural services for all Dumas Public School Students. Their Meet & Greet will allow various business, organizations, churches, individuals, etc.. to setup a table with information and/or resources to provide assistance in any areas such as housing, food, employment, transportation, daycare, vouchers, utility assistance, insurance (healthcare, life, and auto), mental & behavioral health, mentoring, academics, scholarships, physical fitness, etc.. They’ll also have a table to give out free clothes, shoes, and coats, as well as a refreshment table. If you are interested or know individuals, businesses, churches, or organizations that may be interested in setting up a table or have free clothes, shoes, and coats to donate, have them to contact Tironeka Brown or they can email her at bobcatptso@gmail.com.
