Barbara Jean Dolph Thurman, 72 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away November 4, 2021, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Born August 12, 1949, in Martinez, California the daughter of the late James and Mildred Boyette Dolph. Her parents and granddaughter Blaire Carlton preceded her in death.
Barbara was member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Also, a member of the Dumas Business Womens and Red Hat Society. Barbara was owner and operator of Classic Cuts Hair Center for 44 years as a cosmetologist, the last few years her son worked with her and as her health declined, he was able to take care of her customers as the operator.
Survivors are her husband James G. “Butch” Thurman, JR of Dumas, Arkansas, and son James G. “Jay” Thurman. JR of Dumas, Arkansas two brothers Jimmy (Ella) Dolph of Texas and Louie Dolph of Russellville, Arkansas grandson Jake Thurman.
Visitation held one hour prior to funeral from 2- 3 PM, both held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Dubs Byers. Interment at McArthur Cemetery.
