Rene Tamayo Castaneda 75 of Gould, Arkansas passed away July 5, 2021 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Born December 20, 1945, Wes Laco, Texas, the son of the late Ventura and Mary Castaneda. His parents, daughter Annette Castaneda and son Armando Montemayor all preceded him in death.
Rena was catholic and retired from Food Max where he was a meat cutter for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Yolanda Castaneda, Gould, Arkansas one son Greg Castaneda, Indio, California and one daughter Helen Castaneda, Gould, Arkansas and one grandson that he and his wife raised Andre Torres, California, four brothers George Castaneda, Oregon, Fred Tamayo, Texas, Daniel Tamayo, Oregon, Felix Tamayo and five sisters, Kathy Castaneda Kotara, Texas, Lily Gonzales, Texas, Dorothy Naylin, Oregon, Elida Medina, Texas and Elain Rodriquez, Texas, 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
Visitation on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 4 6 PM at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral service held at 11 Am, Saturday, July 10, 2021, Holy Child Catholic church in Dumas, with Father Mark Abban officiating.
