Opened the season March 1st at Barton
Dumas Won 9-0
*Kyla Madden, Bailey Clayton, Maddie Bruce, Makayla Gilbreth and Zandria Henderson all collected two hits a piece for the Lady Cats
*Madison Bruce was the winning pitcher. Pitched 7 innings 8 strike outs only 2 walks and allowed only 1 hit
March 3rd @ Warren
Lost 8-6
*Lady Cats had a 4-0 in the 4th inning before “kicking it” around a little and a few timely hits brought the Lady Jacks within 4-3
*Dumas scored 1 run in the 5th to take a 5-3 lead, but Warren responded with 3 runs in the bottom of 5th to take a 6-5 lead.
*Dumas tied it up in the 6th at 6, but Warren scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to hold on to a 8-6 win.
*Madden, Tillman, Gilbreth and Henderson led the offensive charge all collecting two hits and Bruce was solid in the circle for the Lady Cats
March 10th @ Hermitage
Dumas Won 13-1
*Game was originally scheduled for Dumas, but was changed because of field conditions due to the weather.
*Maddie Bruce was dominant in the circle for Lady Cats retiring the first 10 batters in order, a swinging bunt the stopped in “no man’s” land and was the first hit for The Lady Hermits and led to their only run of the night. Bruce pitched all 7 innings for the Lady Cats only giving up 2 hits, walking only one, while striking out 9.
*Madden continued being hot at the plate going 3-5 and scoring twice. Kendall Jones brought a spark to the bottom of the Lady Cat offense going 3-3 on the night and scoring twice. Trinity Tillman was 2-4 and had 2 RBI on the night.
