The Dumas Bobcats improved to 14-1 Friday, January 7, 2022 by knocking off the Drew Central Pirates 56-32 at Dumas.
Bobcat starters, under the leadership of Head Boys Basketball Coach Larry Harris, included: (#1) junior Mike Reddick, (#14) freshman Billy Reddick, (#4) sophomore Tommy Reddick; (#10) sophomore Joseph Jones and (#32) senior Kavion Beavers.
Bobcat (#4) Tommy Reddick got things off to a good start with a three-pointer from well beyond the three point line. (#1) Mike Reddick ripped the net with a three-pointer, before Tommy Reddick sank another three-pointer as the Bobcats jumped out to a 9-0 lead early forcing Drew Central to call the game's first timeout at the 4:44 mark.
After the timeout, Mike Reddick added a two-point basket, while the Pirates made three buckets from the floor. At the end of the first period, Dumas led 11-6.
The Bobcats outscored the Pirates 25-10 in the second period, led by Mike Reddick with nine points and Joseph Jones with six in the period. Dumas led 36-16 at the half.
All three Reddick's scored in the third period. Tommy scored three, Mike scored 4 and Billy chipped in with two points as the Bobcats outscored the Pirates 11-5 to extend their lead to 47-21.
The final eight minutes saw both teams add 11 points to their respective scores.
(#2) senior Derrick Lee made a basket, while (#3) sophomore Jayden Craney made two points and (#40) sophomore Tayveon Wilson scored two points to set the final score at Dumas 56, Drew Central 32.
Mike Reddick led the Bobcats with 19 points, while Tommy Reddick scored 12. Joseph Jones added six points, while Derrick Lee scored four points. Billy Reddick, Tyveon Wilson and Jayden Craney scored two points each.

In the evening first varsity game, the Dumas Ladycats defeated the Drew Cental Lady Pirates 65-64.
Ladycat starters under the leadership of Head Girls Basketball Coach Glory Slater included: (#30) Mirica Scott, (#2) La'Paysha Croom, (#12) Ma'Dyson McKinzie, (#14) Mia Dixon and (#20) Shakyra Chaffin.
The Ladycats outscored the Lady Pirates 14-10 in the first period, led by Shakyra Chaffin with six points, while La'Paysha Croom scored five in the period.
The second eight minutes saw Drew Central outscored Dumas 18-12 to take a 28-26 lead over the Ladycats at the half.
Dumas outscored Drew Central 17-15 in the third period, led by La'Paysha Croom with nine points in the stanza. The contest was tied at 43-43 with eight minutes to play.
The Ladycats edged the Lady Pirates 22-21 in the final period to earn a 65-64 victory.
La'Paysha Croom led Dumas with 26 points, while Mirica Scott scored 12 points. Ma'Dyson Mckinzie scored 10 points, while Shakyra Chaffin added eight and Mia Dixon scored six.
