Mary Lou Smith Hudgins 83 of Mabelvale, AR passed away February 9, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born March 28, 1940, in Carden Bottoms in Yell County to the late Samuel Lawton and Nora Arizona Seay Smith. Mary attended the Assembly of God Church, member of Folk Lore Society in Heber Springs and was in the food service business at McPherson Restaurant for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, two sons Johnny and Ronny and one daughter Becky Peter.
Survivors are one daughter Vicky (Rickey) Newton, Mabelvale, AR, two sisters Jean Israel, Dumas, AR, Sue (Dave) Miller, Conway, AR, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be February 13, 2024, at 2:00pm with visitation 1:00-2:00 prior at Jefferson Cemetery with Rev. Larry Wilhite and Jackie McPherson officiating.
