The Legacy Center will begin it’s first of 12 monthly food distribution services this Friday. The location is ASC Property Management Office located at 710 Meador Drive, directly behind Mad Butcher.
“Our goal is to serve families with food insecurity with this outreach. We also have a GoFresh monthly distribution that covers the entire city and expands into the county that returns in March,” stated Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr.
“The Arkansas Foodbank is excited to continue our partnership with The Legacy Center in West Dumas for 2021. We are slated to complete 12 mobile distributions this year providing food resources to families in Desha County. The event is Friday, February 26th. The distribution will begin at 1:00 PM,” stated Regina Taylor Chief Community Initiatives Officer, Arkansas Foodbank.
All persons are welcome.
The GoFresh features fresh food for persons in Dumas and across the county. The Arkansas Food Bank is focusing on Dumas residents who have specific needs especially towards the end of the month. Everything is on a first come first serve basis.
