Bloom Where You Are Planted
As I write this it is International Women's Day. I am proud to be a woman and all that goes along with it.
I know some amazing women and most of them probably don't even know that I think they are. I am not going to list you but I do hope that through my actions you feel the love! I have learned a lot from women that I have met over the years. I haven't always known it at the time the seed was planted but as I have traveled on and the seeds have grown my thinking has too. A tiny word of encouragement or nod of approval can go a long way.
I have had a sense or a good feeling that women are helping women more and more these days.
Supporting each other and owning the need to give and to receive. I know I need help now and then and I know that is OK. Let's help not hinder. Let's offer each other compassion and laughter instead of whispering and judging. My grandfather used to tell me the prettiest thing I could wear is a smile. So be proud of wherever you are in your journey today.
Every time I have started over I have taken a little something with me that helps me on my next adventure, something from the women that have cared to take the time to mentor me. I am not a mother but HATS OFF to all of you that are. It (literally) looks like it can get pretty “sticky” sometimes but you all pull it off and pull it together time and time again. So be proud to be a woman, a mother, a friend and plant a seed for another woman on her journey and add a smile for good measure.
