73 Arkansas Counties are currently under a burn ban as of September 7, 2026. Desha County Judge Wayne Smith reinstated the Desha County Burn Ban of Friday, September 4, 2026 even with recent storms providing temporary relief. The City of Dumas is also under a burn ban starting Sept. 4
LITTLE ROCK, AR — The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is urging Arkansans to stay alert as wildfire danger continues to rise across the state. All 75 counties are now designated at a high wildfire risk, and more than 65 counties have active burn bans.
