The Nation's Weather for Friday, January 13, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Colder air will cause snow showers in the eastern Great
Lakes tomorrow, and the snow can make roads and sidewalks
slippery. Lighter snow can even extend down into the central
and southern Appalachians. Warmer air farther east will
allow rain to fall in New England. Much of New England will
dry out in the afternoon, although precipitation can linger
in Maine for most of the day. Meanwhile, more heavy
precipitation will move ashore in California. Rain and
mountain snow will stretch north into Washington and Oregon,
but precipitation will be lighter than in California. The
Plains, Rockies and Southwest can all expect a dry day. The
lack of precipitation will be accompanied by plenty of
sunshine from New Mexico to Arkansas and Louisiana.
