NATIONAL SUMMARY
A large storm is expected to bring thunderstorms from the
Southeast up to the mid-Atlantic coast and back to Lake Erie
tomorrow. Storms may be severe and produce flooding
downpours, hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. High
winds are expected from North Carolina up into the Northeast
through the Great Lakes and Plains. The highest gusts of
50-60 mph can occur from the central Appalachians through
the Ohio River Valley into portions of the Plains and may
lead to localized power outages. Blizzard conditions are
possible in portions of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and
northern Missouri from blowing snow that can reduce
visibility and make roads slippery. A flood risk exists in
western and northern New York into northern New England from
heavy rain and snowmelt.
