. The museum received a $3,000 grant from Clearwater paper to purchase the lights. They were installed by Garys Heating and Cooling November 2024. Jason White, of White's Artworks, painted the mural November of 2023. The mural represents the towns of Desha County including Dumas, Backgate, Mitchellville, Pickens, McGehee, Kelso, Reed, Watson, Reed, Arkansas City, Yancopin, Tillar, and Snow Lake. The mural features the Pendleton Ferry, The Kate Adams, the railroad and the agricultural crops of the area. (Submitted Photo)
