Desha County Judge Richard Tindall announced a burn ban for Desha County starting October 11, 2024.
“Due to the extreme dry conditions and subsequent high fire danger, Desha County Judge Richard Tindall has placed Desha County under a temporary burn ban pursuant to County Court Order effective at 0700 hours on October 11, 2024. All outdoor fires are prohibited during this time. Once we receive appreciable rainfall and conditions improve, the ban will be reevaluated. Outdoor cooking such as gas and charcoal grills are not subject to this action. Thank you for your compliance during this time. Richard Tindall.” (Burn ban in Red)
