Mitchellville held their first Juneteenth celebration for the community at Emily Bowen Drive on June 17, 2023.Kimbla Calvin and Doristeen Griswold, hosted the event that offered music, food, activities for children, and a variety of vendors. The Light Community Outreach Center, 305 N. Rankin Street, Dumas, will be open Saturday July 8 and July 15, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Clothes are free to anyone that needs them.
