Clifford “Clay” Joseph Smith, 76 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away January 18, 2022. Clay was born in Port Arthur Texas on June 23, 1945, to the late Eddie and Osage Fontenot Smith.His parents, daughter Rebel Curtis, brother Eddie Smith, Jr, and sister Georgia May Caillouet, great grandson Joseph Reece Kent, preceded him in death.
Clay attended the Catholic Church and served in the United State Army during Vietnam War. Clay owned and was Ag Pilot at Smith Aviation and then CHR Inc and was a truck driver for many years. Clay was known as an avid fisherman.
Survivors are his loving wife Patricia Smith of Dumas, Arkansas sons Clay Smith and wife Shelley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Max Smith and wife Jaci of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Dallas Smith and wife Stephanie of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and daughters Holly Downen and husband Lloyd of Dumas, Arkansas and Whitney McDonald and husband Jared of Dumas, Arkansas, brother Wayne Smith and wife Dorothy of Vinton, Louisiana, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Memorial services to be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1.00 PM, Abundant life Worship Center, Dumas, Arkansas. Memorials may be made in memory of Clay to donor’s choice.
