Ella Myrl (Myrt) Myrick of Dumas, Arkansas entered her heavenly home on June 18, 2022.
She was born on April 28, 1932 in Monticello, Arkansas to Thomas and Ruby Amanda Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Joe Myrick), two brothers (Pete & Pat Mitchell) and two sisters (Helen Bates & Louise James). She is survived by three sons, Tommy Joe (Cheryl) Myrick, JW Myrick, and Mitch (Julie) Myrick; a daughter, Mandy (Kenny) Price; a sister, Gladys Youngblood; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren (with another due in December) along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a retired teacher of 31 years and longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas and their ladies’ auxiliary.
The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice along with her precious caregivers who gave her excellent care at her home.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 21 at noon with funeral service at 1 pm at Calvary Baptist Church under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
Internment followed at Tyro Cemetery.
