Sidney “Sid” Smith Stuart, 77, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. Sid was born September 7, 1944 in McGehee, Arkansas to the late Fred Stuart and Reba Smith Stuart. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years. Sid loved to fish and hunt and was a former member of Big E Hunting Club. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Dee Stuart Thompson and Christie Mizell and his brother, Freddie Stuart. Survivors include his wife, Diane Stuart of McGehee, AR; son-in-law, Greg Mizell of Tillar, AR; brother, Tommy (Anne) Stuart of McGehee, AR; grandchildren, Chad (Mollie) Thompson, Amanda (Josh) McKiever, DeeAnn Mizell and Drew Mizell; great-grandchildren, Dylan Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Emily Thompson, Addee McKiever and Jett McKiever and his beloved dog, Rufus.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in McGehee, AR with Rev. Tom Mullins officiating. .
