Austin Daniel Wayne Hoover, age 17, of Glenwood, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020.
He was born July 22, 2003, in Mena, the son of Christopher Kevin Hoover, Sr. and Crystal Lane May. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Danny May.
He loved listening to rap music and creating his own rap songs. Austin was a wonderful son, grandson, brother and friend, who was more like the “big brother”, looking out and taking care of everyone he loved and will be remembered for his goofy grin and huge heart. Austin had a great love for his best friend, his dog, “Folks”, who went with him everywhere.
Survivors include his father, Chris Hoover, Sr. of Glenwood; mother, Crystal May of Mena; brothers, Nathan Hoover of Mena, Christopher Hoover, Jr. of Fort Smith and Jordan Leigh Dodds of Mena; sisters, Katelyn Hoover of Glenwood and Arayah Wharton of Mena; paternal grandparents, Rodney and Karen Stout of Glenwood; maternal grandmothers, Lisa Caldwell of Missouri and Cindy Hale of Mena; paternal great-grandparents, Wayne and Barbara Irons of Dumas; maternal great-grandparents, Joe and Zula Hale of Cherry Hill; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Memorial services were held Saturday, 2:00PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Philip Hatley officiating.
