Charles Edward Harris 93 of Dumas, Arkansas passed away December 20, 2023. Born June 23, 1930, in Nettleton, Arkansas and was the son of the late Joseph Bruce Harris and Lula Mae Webb Harris. His parents and wife Carolyn Harris, and two brothers all preceded him in death.
Charles was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Arkansas Department of Corrections and served in the United States Army, and was a member of VFW, and American legion.
Survivors are four sons, Dennis (Sharon) Harris of Dumas, Arkansas, Douglas (Virginia) Harris of Dumas, Arkansas, Bruce (Rhonda) Harris of Dumas, Arkansas, and Bob (Ticey) Harris of Dumas, Arkansas, sister Shirley Gordan of Gosnell, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, Penny Harris, Douglas Harris, JR., Regina Buchan, Coty Harris, Josh (Callie) Harris, Justin Harris and Katlen Harris and seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services held at 2 pm, December 26, 2023, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Julius Carter officiating, visitation held one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Burial following services at Walnut Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made in memory of Charles to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
