Jimmy Wayne McGehee, 75 of Dumas, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born February 16, 1945 in Star City to the late Houston Marion and Maxine Edmonds McGehee. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas; retired school teacher, assistant principal and coach for Dumas Public Schools; served in the Arkansas National Guard; and was a longtime Dumas Bobcat supporter.
Survivors include son, Daryl McGehee of Cave Springs; daughter, Tammy (David) Layman of San Antonio, TX; 2 brothers, Rendell McGehee and Jackie (Alice) McGehee, both of Star City; 3 sisters, Charlcie Morgan of Star City, Marilyn (Gary) Schlenker of Tichnor and Linda (Tony) Owen of Star City; 3 grandchildren, Christopher McGehee of Cave Springs, Eli and Samuel Layman of San Antonio.
Graveside services are 10:00AM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Drake Cemetery with Bro. Elmer Byerly officiating. Visitation is 9:30-10:00AM Saturday at the cemetery.
