Virginia Moya Acosta, 84, of Zachary, Louisiana, former resident of Dumas, Arkansas, passed away July 17, 2020.
Born May 30, 1936, in Victoria, Texas, the daughter of the late, Domingo Moya and Benancia Liuris.
Virginia was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her children Kim Camarillo (Carl) of Victoria, Texas, Earnestina Reyes (Gus) of Zachary, Louisiana, Elma Rodriguez (Javier) of Kenner, Louisiana, Paul Acosta of Zeeland, Michigan, Elaine Smart (Tim) of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, Joe Acosta (Mariana) of Bridge City, Texas; stepchildren Gloria Chavez, Virginia Robledo, Adallinda Martinez, and Arminda Rodriguez; and by her siblings Ernest Moya, Lucy Garcia, Mary Ellen Garza, and Theresa Gonzales.
She will be lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren Bianca, Amanda, Blake, Terri, Alissa, Brianna, April, Julia, Carl, Hannah, Travis, Alexa, Sebastian, Marshal, and Jacob; as well as her 17 great grandchildren.
She will be reunited with her parents Domingo Moya and Benancia Liuris; husband Apolonio Acosta Sr.; brothers Joe Moya and Domingo Moya Jr.; sister Elvira Hernandez; step-son Juan Acosta; and grandson Dillion Acosta.
Rosary held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Holy Child Catholic Church with Father Mark Abban burial following in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
