Lonzell Dodds, has announced his bid for re-election to the Dumas City Council in Ward Four, position two. He served in this position for four years from 2014 to 2018.
Dodds is lifelong resident of Dumas; he is a farmer and businessman and involved in many things in our community. he is a member of the Palestine Methodist Church, which he has served in many capacities.
He has two grown children who live here and are involved in many activities. his daughter, Tonya Bruce is a teacher at the Dumas Junior High School and his son Moncrief Dodds is associated with his father in their farming operation. both of them are graduates of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
While on the city council, Dodds served on many committees, chairing the parks and recreation committee, water committee, community center committee and the ambulance committee.
He is asking the citizens of Dumas to give him the honor and privilege of serving on the city council again when they vote in November.
