The deadline to pay your 2019 personal and real estate taxes is October 15th, 2020. Taxes not paid by the deadline will become delinquent as of October 16th, 2020.
The Desha County Annex building is still closed to the public due to Covid-19. We are asking that taxpayers pay their taxes through one of the following processes:
• Taxpayers may mail your payments in the form of a check or money order to P.O. Box 428, Arkansas City, AR 71630.
• We have recently installed a secured drop box, located at 604 President St., Arkansas City, AR 71630, on the front parking lot of the annex building. Taxpayers may place payments in this drop box any time during the day. We will check the box for payments several times a day. Please only place checks or money orders in the drop box. NO CASH!!!
• Taxpayers may call 866-257-2055 to make payments over the phone with a credit/debit card. Use county code 21, for Desha County, when calling to make a payment at this number. There is a processing fee charge with this form of payment.
• Taxpayers may also go online at ar-tax.org to pay taxes with a credit/debit card. There is a processing fee charge with this form of payment.
• Taxpayers that prefer to pay with cash are welcome to come to 604 President St., Arkansas City, AR Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Due to the building being closed to the public, taxpayers should call the tax collector’s office at 870-222-2525 to let us know you are in the parking lot and someone from our office will meet you. We request that everyone please wear a mask.
