Raye Haven Salon held an open house Thursday, May 25 celebrating a new boutique by one of the hair stylists, Ginger Graham.
Chelsea McCoy turned a once vacant Bumper to Bumper shop into a welcoming salon.
The salon first opened its doors on January 11, 2022. McCoy, a native of Hamburg said she felt celebrating the welcoming of 'Graham Glam Boutique’ was the perfect opportunity to host an overdue, but long awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony.
McCoy moved from Hamburg, AR to Dumas after getting married to Dumas resident Jordan McCoy in 2021. McCoy named the salon after merging her middle name, Raye, and her son's middle name, Haven. McCoy has always had a passion for hair and after graduating from Professional Cosmetology Education Center in El Dorado, AR, she then dreamed of having her own salon.
She worked as a stylist in Crossett, AR at ‘Studio 202' after receiving her cosmetology license, and says "Lisa Woods and Sarah Bradley helped mold me into who I am today," McCoy said.
Raye Haven Salon currently offers three hair stylists with one being McCoy herself, she offers hair services, lash lifts, and lash extensions. As well as Kelsi Clemons who also offers hair services and eyelashes, and while Ginger Graham offers pedicures, hair services, and owns the new boutique. Raye Haven Salon is also working with Chiropractor, Dr. Mellorya Bullard who is only available each Thursday by appointment and open to walk ins. Raye Haven Salon is located on 515 E. Choctaw St. in Dumas, AR. Their contact information can be found on their Facebook page under "Raye Haven Salon."
