The daily themes were Monday with ‘Red-Y to be Drug Free’ and wore red. Tuesday’s theme was “My Future Matters. I’m Drug Free” where they dressed as their future career. Wednesday was mismatched “From Head to Toe, I’m Drug Free” day with mismatched socks and crazy hair. Thursday’s theme was “Our Dreams are too Big for drugs!” with students wearing pajamas, robs and slippers. The week finished Friday with “Say ‘Boo’ to drugs” with costumes with no masks.
Student Resource Officer Kelly Freeman and Officer Alan Hernandez came to speak to the students about the importance of being Drug Free and Freeman gave a tour of her patrol car. Principal Dr. Vivian Evans dressed for career day and Mrs. Jennifer and a group of little nurses made an appearance on Career Day.
Students of all grade levels participated in a parachute activity on the playground and a drug free cheer. Students and staff dressed up for Halloween and showed off their costumes in a campus wide parade.
