The Bobcats suffered a 40-7 loss to the Warren Lumberjacks Friday, October 9 at Warren.
After Warren celebrated their homecoming ceremonies in the rain, the teams took the field.
Bobcat senior Roman James kicked off to get the game underway. The officials immediately threw their first flag of the evening, offsides against Dumas, backing the Bobcats up five yards, causing James to tee the ball up and kickoff for the second time. Warren returned the opening kickoff 42 yards to the Dumas 48.
The Lumberjacks marched 48 yards in six plays to score the game's first touchdown on a nine yard run. With the extra point, Warren led 7-0 with 9:58 to play in the first quarter.
Johntarrius Washington #10 returned the Warren kickoff to the Dumas 31 yard line.
Kylin James #3, gained three yards on first down and two yards on second and five.
Kennon Jones scrambled on third down, gaining eight yards to the Dumas 44 and a first down.
Kylin James took the handoff on the next play, went outside the left tackle, down the Dumas sideline and sprinted 56 yards for a Bobcat touchdown with 8:31 to play in the first quarter.
Roman James added the PAT to tie the game at 7-7.
The Lumberjacks took complete control of the game from this point on, outscoring the Bobcats 33-0 the rest of the way as the rain continued to fall.
The Bobcats fall to 3-3 overall, 1-2 in the conference and are scheduled to host Star City on Homecoming Night Friday, October 16th at Tidwell field. The kickoff is set for 7 PM after.
