The Desha County Sheriff Department, Quorum Court, Arkansas 911 Board, City of Dumas Officials, the Dumas Chamber of Commerce and community members celebrated the new Desha County Central Dispatch with a open house and ribbon cutting ceremony March 20, 2025. The new dispatch opened in January after the completion of renovations to the the former Southeast Arkansas Law Enforcement Center. The dispatch will act as a central community center for Desha County’s 911 system service law enforcement, ems and fire departments.
