Walter Hall Post 84 American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are seeking sponsorships for students to attend Boys and Girls State this summer. We have received a number of requests from students who wish to attend. The cost for Boys State Delegates for the weeklong event will be $250 per student. The Girls State Delegates cost will be $300 per student. Sessions will be held on the campuses ofUCA in Conway and Harding University in Searcy.
Each year, the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary promote the importance of youth understanding the Democratic processes of our government through Boys State and Girls State Program. The programs are designed to provide citizenship training and practical instruction on the duties and responsibilities both of a citizen and public official.
We need community support to send all the delegates. We are soliciting donations from grandparents, parents, businesses, churches, civic organizations and anyone who would like to sponsor a student or donate to this effort. Please consider sponsoring a delegate fully or · partially. Checks should be made payable to, Ame}ican Legion-Walter Rall Post 84 and mailed to PO Box 73, Dumas, AR 71639. Funds should be received no later than May 1, 2026.
