Hannah Jo Stimson of Dumas and Austin Bryan Van Horn of Little Rock were united in marriage June 27, at 6:30 in the evening on the bank of Walnut Lake in Pickens.
Brother Buddy Ratliff officiated at the ceremony in a traditional Methodist ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Cheryl Stimson of Dumas. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Onie Rector and the late Robert and Kathryn Stimson, Sr. all of Dumas.
The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Cindy Van Horn of Jonesboro. He is the grandson of Bryan and Donna Quiggle, Larry and Sharon Van Horn and Orless and Linda O’Neal all of Wichita, Kansas.
The couple was married on the bank of Walnut Lake with a wooden cross covered in grapevine, white spirea, white and green viburnum, cream roses and ivy serving as the center for the proceedings. The cross was flanked by urns of white and green spirea, white viburnum, cream roses and ivy set upon bronze pedestals.
The music was provided by Arkansas Capital String Quartet with Nancy McGraw as manager. Musical selections were “Simple Gifts”, “A thousand Years”, “Hallelujah” and “Perfect”
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Robert Stimson. She wore a Nouvelle Amsale Aline silk mikado gown. The gown sports spaghetti strap shoulder detail, architectural bodice seaming and buttons from top back to the hem. The bride added a beautiful Monique Lhuillier pearl and rhinestone belt at the waist and a full cathedral length veil. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white peonies, white hydrangea and white roses.
Rebecca Harrington of Jonesboro, AR, and Garraway Anderson of Tuscaloosa, AL, served as maids of honor. Elizabeth Moody of Chattanooga, TN, Pooja Nathu Patel of Lub-bock, TX, Madison Mc-Caskill of Memphis, TN, Caroline Gordon of Biloxi, MS, Mary Kate Walters of Brenham, TX, and Haylee Taylor of Madisonville, KY. They wore full length gowns from Azazine in dusty rose. Each carried white roses and white hydrangea hand-tied bouquets.
Clay Stimson, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. He wore black shorts with a white shirt and a black bow tie and suspenders.
Andy Yates of Bryant, AR served as best man. Groomsman were Seth Van Horn of Little Rock, Matthew Barnes of West Helena, AR,, Jack ellington of Chattanooga, TN, and Patrick Stevens of Little Rock.
The reception immediately following the ceremony took place at Walnut Lake Country Club where tables were adorned with clear vases filled with fairy lights and baby’s breath sitting in a ring of lemon leaf. The wedding party and guests enjoyed a full dinner complete with champagne toasts.
The bride’s book was attended by Kailey Soileau of West Memphis, AR.
The couple will make their home in Little Rock. The bride is an optometric physician in Jacksonville and the groom works in Little Rock as a mechanical engineer.
