Desha County was awarded a Arkansas Rural Connect Grant in the amount of $2,550,877 for Broadband service for the communities of Desha County Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
County Judge Richard Tindall worked with Aristotle Unified Communications (AUC) CEO Elizabeth Bowles to engineer a hybrid fiber-microwave network to serve the citizens of the county.
When completed, this new high speed Internet service will cover most of the county and bring much needed connectivity to the unserved and underserved citizens in the area.
M Ms Bowles and the AUC Team have begun preliminary activities to secure the vertical assets and equipment to get this network in place quickly!
An Arkansas Company Aristotle, Inc. founded in 1995 was a DSL and Dial-up provider in Little Rock originally. In 2005 the company switched to Fixed Wireless Technology. AUC moved attention to underserved areas in 2018. Aristotle Unified Communications also offers digital phone services (VoIP) in many of its’ services areas.
